1984 anti-Sikh riots case: Billionaire Abhishek Verma reaches Forensic Science Laboratory for polygraph test
NEW DELHI: Billionaire Abhishek Verma, who is a witness in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, has reached government-run Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Delhi’s Rohini to undergo a medical test.nnOn December 3, a Delhi Court hasĀ asked the Central Bureau of Investigation and FSL to conduct a polygraph test on Abhishek Verma on December 6. The probe agency is conducting the test on him in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case involving Tytler.nnA year ago, court has directed that Verma and Tytler take a polygraph test. But, Congress leader reportedly refused to take the test.nnTytler who was accused of genocide of killing innocent Sikhs after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on 31st October 1984.nnFour months ago, Verma has received four-page threat letter through registered post from the local post office. He has been told not to proceed further with his polygraph test, according to the letter.nnThe letter which written in Hindi, threatened to blow him up with a bomb and also to eliminate his family.
