MLAs with criminal cases:Out of the 402 MLAs analysed, 143(36%) MLAs have declared criminal cases against themselves. Out of these 403 MLAs analyzed for Uttar Pradesh 2012 Assembly Elections, 189 (47%) have declared criminal cases against them.n

• MLAs with serious criminal cases:107(26%) MLAs have declared serious criminal cases including cases related to murder, attempt to murder etc. Out of 403 MLAs analysed during Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2012, 98 (24%) MLAs had declared serious criminal cases against themselves.
