Odiyas not happy with BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s “CIA Link” remark on late Biju Patnaik

Before I discuss BJP Deoghar Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey’s tweets about the late Biju Patnaik, I would like to say that I never considered her to be a stranger; now, when I close my eyes, I find her everywhere, and for love, only the present and the future matter, not the past.

Let’s get right to the point: Many Odisha politicians and citizens, including a Rajya Sabha MP who recently won the Rajya Sabha elections with the help of the BJP and a BJP Kendrapara Lok Sabha MP, have condemned BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his “CIA Link” remark on former Odisha Chief Minister Late Biju Patnaik, who is a highly respected leader in every Odisha household.

Speaking to reporters on March 27, Dubey claimed that Jawaharlal Nehru fought the 1962 war with support from the United States and in coordination with CIA agents. He further alleged that Biju Patnaik acted as a link between the US government, the CIA, and Nehru during that time.

To stay in the headlines, BJP Deoghra Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey has a daily routine of tweeting against India’s first Prime Minister late Jawaharlal Nehru, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi, and now he has tweeted against the late Biju Patnaik.

However, before writing against the late Biju Patnaik, Nishikant Dubey should have read what Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at Chandikhole in the Jajpur district on March 5, 2024, when Narendra Modi said that Biju Patnaik visionary leadership and indomitable spirit continue to inspire generations while paying homage to Biju Patnaik on the occasion of the latter’s birth anniversary.

In the meantime, I believe that many BJP leaders now dislike Nishikant Dubey’s remarks. On September 8, 2025, BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy criticised fellow BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his “arrogance” in an interview with news portal Newslaundry. Rajiv Pratap Rudy has reportedly criticised his party colleague, Nishikant Dubey, labelling him as an “arrogant” guy who “spreads #misinformation” and tries to “control #Parliament”. He [Dubey] has a problem: he wants to run the show. Beyond government, he is government. “I am not a member of his government,” said #RajivPratapRudy.

Now only I would like to end my words while saying that if I were the Deoghar Lok Sabha MP, then my only focus would be to solve the people’s issues so that people from Deoghar should not go to other states like Gujarat,  Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Telangana, Karnataka, Punjab and Delhi NCR for bread and butter. Just as now, I’m doing my job as a political journalist honestly and truthfully after earning my journalism degree from the world’s top journalism school, Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
