After Bihar Assembly election, India will have an unofficial opposition leader

BY SANJEEB KUAMR SAHOO

Before I go on, I want to say that I don’t know who will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar after the results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly election. But I do know that Nitish Kumar will not be that person.

Let’s get to the point: after the Bihar Assembly elections, the people of India will have an unofficial opposition leader who can speak up for them. This is because the current official opposition leader hasn’t been able to connect with city voters, and neither have members of his party’s Congress Working Committee (CWC).

Even though the official opposition leader and many party members live in Delhi NCR, they never try to meet with voters in the city, especially those who live in high-rise buildings.

And, I have brought up this issue multiple times in my writings and tweets, emphasising that the Congress party needs to engage with city voters.

However, their Congress Working Committee members are too busy writing articles for newspapers, interviews for news channels, and media bites for news agencies.

After the 2025 Bihar assembly polls, they will have plenty of time to write articles for newspapers and provide interviews and media bites to news agencies from morning until night. Politics is a 24-hour job, not confined to 4 PM or 10 AM. A true politician is active even on Saturdays, Sundays, and all official holidays.

And, I want to make it clear that I and National Political Mirror always support loyal and hard-working political party leaders and cadres. I have no room in my heart or on the pages of National Political Mirror, (the world’s only weekly political magazine with two editions) for dishonest leaders and members, so I will explain in a few words the difference between political party members and leaders.

First, I would discuss about members who always stay in AC rooms, write articles for newspapers with no research and without knowing the nerve of needy people, hold press conference once in a blue moon and speak to selected #journalists, do not respect young talented journalists, have no knowledge of ground politics, and will damage the party’s reputation and its leader’s hard work whenever they talk to a selected journalist from Big Corporate Media Houses.

And they know that even though they do that, they will still get into the Rajya Sabha and become ministers without doing anything for the party.

Finally, I will talk about the #backbone of any political party in a few words. It is leaders who work day and night for the party and high command with honesty and discipline, never say anything that hurts the party’s image, and always treat all journalists with respect.

Always meet needy people and try to address their problems, and be frequently seen on the #streets voicing needy people’s concerns, never demanding anything from the party’s top leadership, and waiting for their numbers. So far, only the BJP has met the leaders’ demands and sent them to Rajya Sabha.
