I witnessed senior BJP leader Gopal Krishna Agarwal consistently highlighting the challenges faced by home buyers, industries, and residents’ associations in Noida and Greater Noida. He always endeavoured to address their concerns at his level.

I have been observing him regarding his political skills and knowledge about the Indian and global economies for many years, especially noting his composed demeanour during press conferences and the subsequent interactions with journalists.
But I met him in person for the first time in 2022, and during our initial meeting, I felt a positive vibe about him. I have decided to write about him, and I was waiting for the right moment.
I recently attended his press conference on May 23, and on that day, I decided to write about him.
Aggarwal deserves to be in parliament
So I am writing about him in this edition, and that lucky politician’s name is Gopal Krishna Agarwal, the National Spokesperson for Economic Affairs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and he is loyal and dedicated to the party forever. He is additionally a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He is recognised for his knowledge in economics and support for the economic strategies of the BJP.
I believe that Aggarwal is the only one among the BJP spokespersons who is truly capable of discussing both the Indian economy and international economic matters. Currently, he is worthy of a Rajya Sabha seat. Because he deserved a ticket to contest for the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, but he did not receive it.
Because he deserved a ticket to contest for the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, but he did not receive it. Instead of making a change, the BJP has once again awarded the ticket to sitting Lok Sabha MP Mahesh Sharma, despite his lacklustre performance from 2019 to 2024. And the truth is that people in the Gautam Buddha Nagar Lok Sabha constituency were and remain dissatisfied with his performance.
I witnessed senior BJP leader Agarwal consistently highlighting the challenges faced by home buyers, industries, and residents’ associations in Noida and Greater Noida. He always endeavoured to address their concerns at his level.
In fact, Agarwal released the ‘Sankalp 2024: Vision Document’, a white paper on the concerns facing the Gautam Buddh Nagar Lok Sabha seat and potential remedies.
Agarwal born to help
At just 13 years old, Agarwal participated in the Satyagrah during the Emergency in 1975 and spent 3 months in jail. To assist those in need in Gautam Buddha Nagar, he has launched several public welfare initiatives, including the Jaladhikar awareness program aimed at maintaining the cleanliness of the Yamuna River and a white paper addressing homebuyer issues in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Uttar Pradesh).
Aggarwal, having been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since his early childhood, decided to fight for the cause when the organisation gave a call for a nationwide Satyagraha to overthrow the Indira Gandhi government of Indira Gandhi.
The Satyagraha took place on 19 November 1975, coinciding with Indira Gandhi’s birthday.
Agarwal was born a leader, thus when he was 13 years old and a Class 8 student at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in New Delhi, he participated in a Satyagraha during the Emergency in 1975 and spent three months in Tihar Jail.
During my three-month term in jail, from November 19, 1975 to February 12, 1976, Agarwal was unable to see his parents once.
In truth, his mother was arrested and imprisoned in Tihar Jail, while his father, a professor at Lady Hardinge Medical College who was arrested on December 25, 1975, was initially kept in Tihar Jail before being transferred to Nagpur Central Jail.
And, Agarwal was arrested under the Defence of India Rules (DIR), which are regulations imposed by the Defence of India Act to handle national security problems and maintain public safety during conflict or emergencies.
Agarwal was born June 1, 1962, in Buldhana, Maharashtra, India. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and went on to become a Chartered Accountant. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and holds a master’s degree in M.Sc. economics.Since he dedicated himself to the BJP, he has actively contributed to the development and support of the party’s economic policy for over twenty years.
