Andhra Pradesh signs MoU with The Fishin
NEW DELHI: The Fishin, an America based company, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Andhra Pradesh regarding the cage cultivation of fish in water bodies in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday.nnOfficials of the Fisheries department entered into the MoU with the company at the Chief Minister’s chamber in Assembly. The company expressed a willingness to raise the Tilapia fish which is popular across the globe at present.nnOfficials informed that the Tilapia breed of fish contains vitamins B, D and Omega 3 fatty acids. ?Favourable climate, availability of hatcheries, improvement in export facilities, development of ports and practising fish farmers are the strengths of Andhra Pradesh in attracting the global companies. The company aims to invest Rs. 500 Cr in various water bodies across the State?, said the officials.nnThe investment will provide direct employment to 4,000 people and indirect employment to 8,000 people in the State. ?Andhra Pradesh will emerge as the leading State in the country in terms of exporting fish produces,? said the Chief Minister.
