Group Captain Prajual Singh takes charge of Thanjavur IAF

NEW DELHI: Group Captain Prajual Singh today assumed command of Air Force Station in Thanjavur.nnSingh, a recipient of Vayu Sena medal, assumed command of this ‘premier’ base under the Southern Air Command from Group Captain Vikram Jeet Singh after a ceremonial parade, a Defence release here said.nnAn alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Singh was commissioned in the IAF in 1992.nnA Qualified Flying Instructor, he has varied operational, administrative and training appointments, including commanding the “prestigious” Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, it said.nnHis past appointments include posting as Military and Air Attache at the Indian Embassy in Tehran, Iran.nnSource: Press Trust of India
