L&T chairman to set up cancer hospital in Gujarat’s Navsari

NEW DELHI: Nirali Memorial Medical Trust (NMMT), established by L&T Group chairman A M Naik, is setting up a speciality cancer hospital at Navsariin Gujarat, which will be managed by Tata Trusts.nnNMMT and the Tata Trusts signed an agreement to this effect, in the presence of A M Naik and Ratan N. Tata today.nnThe mission of the proposed hospital at Navsari, the birthplace of Naik and Tata group founder, Jamsetji Tata, is to benefit the needy sections of society in their fight against cancer. The hospital will be built on land long associated with the Tata group.nnNaik said, ?Availability of modern health care facilities is a prerequisite for social progress and well-being. The Nirali Memorial Medical Trust is committed to bringing the benefits of advanced medical treatment to all sections of society.
