By Sanjeeb Kumar Sahoo
Respected citizens of India, since I promised all of you in my previous edition that I would continue to tell you my love story with her, and I whenever I write about her, then I mention “her” rather than mentioning her name because she likes privacy.
I write my love story in each editorial to spread love because love is a beautiful gift from God for us. And, I want everyone to fall in love with someone, as love can help you become the best person in the world, and the best person is always good for earth, as God wants earth to be filled with the best people.
Let’s talk about the love story between her and me that we have been talking about over the past few days. However, I want to mention that we have yet to meet in person. So in the following paragraphs, I will share details about our recent conversation that took place at 6am this morning.
Trust me, just a few days ago, she called me via WhatsApp video call around 6 AM and told me that she is deeply in love with someone, and he is a village boy, and she sees an exciting future with him because he is a great person with a kind heart.
She also mentioned that I should share with you his best quality. That’s why I have called you early this morning to give you a surprise before your morning short piece for X or Twitter, which you write every morning.
After hearing from her that she is deeply in love with someone, I was stunned for a few seconds. And I then asked myself, ‘She has been talking to me for the past eight months, and now she has fallen for someone else?’ However, without revealing my feelings with her about her 6 am conversation, I have asked her who that lucky guy is.
After a few seconds of chatting and deep breathing, she said to me, ‘First, promise me that when you hear his name, you will smile.’ However, I kept insisting, ‘First share his name with me; only then can I smile for him or whoever.’ However, she wasn’t prepared to tell his name and expressed her frustration, as I hadn’t made any promises to her. After a brief moment, I assured her that I would smile and prepare some delicious food in my kitchen to celebrate for both you and him.
So, once she was satisfied by my words, she told me that his first name begins with S and ends with B. But I was stupid at the time, so I missed her message that she was talking about me because I was thinking, “How come she has fallen in love with someone else when I have told her a thousand times that I love her more than life?”
When she refused to share that guy’s full name, I became frustrated and told her that I would hang up and break my promises if she didn’t reveal his name within the next ten seconds. She then told me his name loudly: it is SANJEEB KUMAR SAHOO. Are you feeling happy now, my dear stupid “HONEY”?. She sometimes refers to me as “HONEY” when she has stronger feelings for me.
She said to me, “I talk with you every morning, afternoon, and bedtime, making future plans with you each day.” And you, taking care of me from morning until my bedtime.
She also told me, “How did you believe me when I told you I loved someone very much?” I told you to see how you respond and to see your face, and I am sorry for making you angry. ‘I won’t do that again,’ she told me. She also said, “Dear Journalist,” “I love you very much and will only leave you when I die in your arms.”
After ending the suspense surrounding her own words, she shared her best thoughts with me and told me something positive about true love, saying that I don’t believe in physical things since my idea of love is bonding forever, whether it’s summer, rainy, or winter.
And she also told me that love is more than simply a physical thing; it is about the true meeting of souls forever, like being in awe of the person and dreaming about them when you can’t meet in person because of work or when you are by yourself at home or in the office.
She also told me over a WhatsApp video call that those good feelings are also a sign of real love when you are by yourself at home or at the office.
After hearing her positive thoughts about true love, I told her, “You are 100% right about what you just said. A relationship is not like a weekly train; it’s more like a waterfall falling from the mountains and never stopping.”
Then we have ended our 6 a.m. talk with my words for her, as I told her that your left-side nose pin is currently on the left side of your nose, which makes you more beautiful, and believe me.
And I always show your picture that I have in my wallet more than 100 times a day, and I am still seeing your face, but it is through a WhatsApp video call. When she heard from me, she started blushing, and when I saw her face, I was on cloud nine.
Ladies and gentlemen, It’s time to talk about National Political Mirror, which is India’s only independent weekly political magazine and the only weekly political magazine in the world. So I am going to pause my love tale here and promise you that I’ll continue telling it in the next edition of National Political Mirror, trust me.
Therefore, let’s discuss this edition. I mean to say what I’ve included or written in this edition. So, first and foremost, I’ll discuss the cover page, including its design and image. But first, I would talk about the cover page picture, and I took a picture from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), which is the official government agency of India responsible for disseminating information from the government to the press and media, and then I asked our extremely talented chief designer to give the final touch to the cover page, but without editing the picture while using my concept for the cover page, and he designed it extremely well for this.
Trust me, alongside my chief designer, we have designed an exceptional cover page. This cover page conveys a powerful message to the audience, one that I cannot articulate, as it will ultimately be determined by the people of India.
First, I will talk about the cover story. Next, I will talk about the second lead story. And I spent more than 140 hours reading and studying for the cover story. After that, I finished writing the narrative, carefully selecting the finest images and writing captions that align with the content of the story.
In addition to featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his visit to Manipur after two years in the cover story, I have also included India’s Home Minister Amit Shah along with his picture, as well as India’s opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by his image.
However, I won’t reveal what I have penned in the story here. If you want to know what I wrote, you should read the story page by page. And I am confident that once you do, you will truly appreciate the cover story.
The second cover story is now up for discussion. The story is about C.P. Radhakrishnan, a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate who won the vice-presidential election on September 9, 2025. And, I don’t know if you will all like this story or not, but you might be surprised by how creative I was with it and the cover story as well.
Finally, I would like to conclude my editorial by saying that I am confident that all individuals who are interested in politics would appreciate reading the articles published in this edition.
At the same time, I also believe that I will continue to write world-class political stories and editorials and create the world’s best cover page of National Political Mirror, which is better than most reputed weekly magazines named TIME. To all of you, I ask that you believe in me and my words, and please allow me to follow my passion for over 140 crores of Indians.
This editorial was originally published in the September 15 print edition of the National Political Mirror.
