By Sanjeeb Kumar SahoonnNEW DELHI (INDIA): India’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ananta Kumar have flagged off the Dhanwantari “Grameen Mobile Hospital” at the Hauzkhas Temple in New Delhi.nnBeside the Ministers, Engineers India Limited CMD Sanjay Gupta and Director (Human Resource)V.C. Bhandari were also present at the programme.nnThis is a Mobile Hospital Van service under the CSR initiative from Engineers India Limited (EIL) for Odisha. EIL is a Navratna public-sector undertaking of the Government of India under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.nn“Narendra Modi government under the leadership of Hon’ble PM is determined to improve the standard of Healthcare and make them affordable to the poor,” said Pradhan while at flagging off Mobile Hospital Van service.nn”Promoting cheaper generic medicines esp Life Saving Drugs & reducing the cost of coronary stents are some important steps in this direction,” he added.nnThe Mobile Hospital Van service is initially available in Gajapati and Kandhamal districts of Odisha.nnTo provide better service among people, Engineers India limited joined hands with Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti (UBBS).nnThe UBSS is a network of dedicated volunteers drawn from varied walks of life. It works with many other like-minded organisations from where it gets disciplined work force to carry out rescue, relief and rehabilitation work in a systematic way.nnIt made its first valued contribution in the aid of cyclone affected people of the state Odisha in the year 1982 itself. Since then it has been working for the social welfare & upliftment of the downtrodden and underprivileged.nnBe it flood, cyclone, famine, sunstroke or any form of natural calamity or accidents, the dedicated volunteers of UBSS have fought against all odds to reach the people in their hours of crisis.nn
