National Political Mirror’s editorial for April 1st

Before sharing my thoughts on the April 1 press conference Inter-Ministerial Briefing on Recent Developments in #WestAsia, I would like to say that don't marry someone you can have fun with; instead, marry someone you can suffer with. Anyone can love you when things are going well, the sun is shining, money is flowing, and smiles are easy to come by.

Before sharing my thoughts on the April 1 press conference Inter-Ministerial Briefing on Recent Developments in #WestAsia, I would like to say that don’t marry someone you can have fun with; instead, marry someone you can suffer with. Anyone can love you when things are going well, the sun is shining, money is flowing, and smiles are easy to come by.

Let’s get right to the point regarding the West Asia crisis. As of right now, not a single minister of the #NarendraModi government has appeared before the press conference to explain anything about the 31-day update regarding the government’s actions to handle the crisis, which began with the joint attack on Iran by #Israel and the United States of America (USA) that began on February 28. The joint attack has now been paused for 10 days. And the 10-day pause deadline for USA strikes on Iranian energy facilities, which President #DonaldTrump announced on March 26-27, 2026, is set for Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

Remember that the term “West Asia crisis” was originally used by Narendra Modi government officials during press conferences, not me.

As you can see from this uploaded video in this tweet, officials are answering all questions on behalf of concerned citizens in a very intelligent manner. During the press conference, I heard an officer say something lovely: “The rest of it is policy matters, so I can’t comment right now; the government will decide on an appropriate time.”

During the April 1 press conference, the Inter-Ministerial Briefing on Recent Developments in West Asia at #NewDelhi’s National Media Centre, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare provided an update on the likely impact of West Asian developments on the agriculture sector. They said there is comfortable seed availability for Kharif 2026, with a requirement of 166.46 lakh quintals against an availability of 185.74 lakh quintals, resulting in a surplus of around 19.29 lakh quintals.

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways further stated that it continues to closely monitor the evolving situation in the West Asia region in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Missions, and maritime stakeholders.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas that was published by PIB on April 1 at 5:53 PM, “a total of 18 Indian-flagged vessels with 485 Indian seafarers continue to remain in the western Persian Gulf region. The Directorate General of Shipping, in coordination with ship owners, RPSL agencies and Indian Missions, is actively monitoring the situation.

And since many politicians and officers are following my style sheet and writing style, I would like to conclude by saying that I am on Cloud Nine.

NOTE: The Persian Gulf, often known as the #ArabianGulf, is a West Asian Mediterranean Sea. Situated between #Iran (#Persia) and the #ArabianPeninsula, the body of water is an extension of the #ArabianSea and the wider #IndianOcean. The #StraitOfHormuz connects it to the Gulf of Oman in the east. The northwest coastline is formed by the Shatt al-Arab river delta.
