Phase 1 records 66% voter turnout in 43 Jharkhand Assembly seats
NEW DELHI: According to Election Commission data as of 11.30 p.m., Jharkhand had a turnout of 66.48% in 43 assembly constituencies where voting took place in the first phase on Wednesday.
Seraikela-Kharsawan district had the highest turnout, with 76.02%. Other districts with voting results included Lohardaga (73.32%), Gumla (69.67%), Simdega (68.76%), Khunti (68.5%), Garhwa (68.42%), Latehar (68.33%), West Singhbhum (68.63%), Ramgarh (68.23%), East Singhbhum (67.10%), Palamu (62.97%), Koderma (62.15%), Ranchi (62.64%), and Hazaribagh (62.78%).
The first phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections began today, November 13, with polling in 43 seats across 15 districts. Voting began at 7 a.m. and ran until 5 p.m.
