JODHPUR (INDIA):The Indian Air Force (IAF) today denied permission to a private airline to operate its flight from here to Jaisalmer citing security reasons.nnFollowing this the airline threatened to initiating legal action against the IAF for “disrupting” the flight and “causing monetary loss” to it.nn”A private airline, which had sought permission to operate a non-scheduled flight to Jaisalmer, could not be permitted due to failure on its part to fulfill requisite conditions pertaining to safety of the aircraft and passengers as per the guidelines and non-coordination of ground logistics prior to flight operation,” Defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said tonight.nnHe said IAF accords highest priority to the safety and security of passengers travelling on such airlines.nnOperations of the Jaisalmer airport is under the control of IAF.nnThe airline alleged that the IAF disrupted its operations at Jaisalmer airport.nnIt claimed that it has suffered monetary loss due to non-clearance of the flight by the COO of Jaisalmer Air Force base, and threatened legal measures.nn nnSource: Press Trust of India
