RSS to hold conclave in Jammu from July 18

JAMMU(INIDA): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will be holding a conclave here from July 18, first such meet in Jammu and Kashmir during which issues related to the situation in the state and various other topics will be discussed.nnThe three-day ‘Akhil Bhartiya Pracharak’ conference, which comes close on the heels of terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims, is being held against the backdrop of the worsening security situation and increasing militancy in Kashmir.nnAs many as 195 ‘pracharaks’ (preachers), heads of all allied organizations of RSS and top leaders will take part in the conference, RSS sources said today.nnIt will debate all issues of the country, party and society and also situation in Kashmir besides organisational matters and programmes in the state, they said.nnThe sources indicated that increasing militancy, functioning of the PDP-BJP coalition government in J&K, stone-pelting and the attacks on security forces will come up for discussion during the meeting.nnRSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, senior RSS leaders Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Dr Dattatreya Hosabale and Dr Krishna Gopal arrived here today for the meet, they said.nnBhagwat will chair different meetings of core groups from July 15 to July 17 to seek feedback and to finalise the agenda for the conference, in which all state heads of RSS, regional heads and officer bearers will take part.nnConvening of the conference of the RSS, the ideological fountainhead of the BJP, in Jammu is aimed at sending out a message to separatists.nnSource: Press Trust of India
