Prior to discussing how my article helped Prime Minister Narendra Modi in forgiving all of the young people who staged protests at Jnatar Mantar in New Delhi and other Indian cities between July 20 and July 25, I would like to state that it is a fact that no politician can defeat today’s youth because they are more intelligent and stubborn than any Indian politician.
Let’s go to it. I would like to add that it was unexpected from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but on July 31, he tweeted at 11:06 p.m. that he forgave all the young people who had used slang against him between July 20 and July 26.
And believe me, I am on cloud nine about my July 31 article for the National Political Mirror, which may have helped Prime Minister Narendra Modi reconsider and pardon all young people who used derogatory language against him between July 20 and July 26.
And I have a reason to say that my article helped him because it took him more than 100 hours to decide to forgive all young people who took part in protests in Jnatar Mantar and other Indian cities. However, prior to Narendra Modi’s forgiveness of all young people, his supporters began trolling and filing formal complaints against two or three young girls who used derogatory language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which made me write an article to help both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all young people.
But the truth is that not only two or three girls, but more than two or three people, used vulgar language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as I am aware because I was at Jantra Mantar between 5.30 p.m. on July 21 and July 26.
Even the Delhi police are aware that more than two or three people used slang language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is because the Delhi police team recorded the crowds at Jnatar Mantar from July 20 to July 25 and before June 20. The protests started on June 20 and ended on July 25, 36 days after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union education minister and the government agreed to the demands of the demonstrators.
However, I would want to show my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for forgiving the youth, as well as thank you for accepting my plea, which I mentioned in my write-up, for Narendra Modi to forgive the youth who used slang language against him. And I believe I am the only political journalist (I cover both the BJP and the Congress press conferences) who has requested the Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi to meet young people address their problems and extend forgiveness to them through my articles on July 28 and 31.
On the other hand, following the conclusion of protests at Jantar Mantar and other Indian cities, I noticed that a few BJP beat reporters simply uploaded a video of themselves walking with Home Minister Amit Shah outside of Parliament and shared it on Twitter and Instagram, rather than crafting a story that could help Narendra Modi build relationships with young people. And sometimes I noticed that they spread BJP narratives on social media rather than spreading the facts that would help needy people in India and how the Narendra Modi government should help them.
Additionally, I would like to mention that on July 30, I wrote in my article that “so my humble request to the Narendra Modi government is that instead of taking action against them, who used slang language, Prime Minister Narendra Modi should forgive them (as many used slang language, Prime Minister Narendra Modi) and start communication with them to find the reasons for doing so, and then solve their issues by sitting with them. Additionally, the Narendra Modi government should request that no one file a complaint against anyone who participated in the Jantar Mantar demonstration or used derogatory language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ”
“Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that even after government promises, if police continue to accept complaints against protesters, all youth may turn against Narendra Modi’s government because current youth are very stubborn and parents will listen to what their children say, so they will vote against BJPled NDA candidates in the next elections,”I wrote in my July 30 article.
But there is still an elephant in the room since two or three females who used slang language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being targeted by BJP followers who also follow him on Twitter or X because they are spreading a girl’s apology video on social media.
On the other side, even though I spent the middle of the night at Jantra Mantar from July 20 to July 25, I haven’t posted any videos that would offend Prime Minister Chair and females. Because I am a political journalist with a journalism degree from the world’s journalism school, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), I am aware of what is right and wrong. However, I discovered that a journalist for NDTV who consistently tweets in favour of the BJP and Narendra Modi shared a video of a girl who apologises for her remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
I would like to conclude by mentioning what Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the video that he posted on Twitter at 11:06 on July 31, he said he was speaking because his heart told him to address the youth over what had happened during the protests against alleged irregularities in the NEET examination at Jantar Mantar.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said some ‘naughty children’ had hurled filthy abuses at him, using language unfit for a civilised society.
“Not only was I subjected to abusive language at Jantar Mantar, but even my late mother was abused there with filthy language. But abuses never solve anything; let’s guide the misguided,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“I want to forgive them. People make mistakes, but it was a cultural shock that our daughters are using such abusive language. We must forgive our youth who were misguided; after all, they are our children. It’s our duty to show them the right path,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Drawing an analogy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We don’t disown our teeth even if they bite our tongue; both belong to us, just as our youth are our own.
“The prime minister appealed to the youth to come forward and learn from their mistakes. Our country is moving forward, and they too must move ahead with it,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said there is scope for correction during childhood.
“That is why I fully understand the anguish in the society… This is the time to show these children the correct path by hugging them,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the situation could not be changed by dragging such children into courts or parading them before society.
“Society should also accept my submission because sometimes people go astray, but that does not mean they should be punished. The children are ours. It is our responsibility to show them the correct path. It is a hard task, but I have to do it,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
